Cherry and earthiness on the nose, following through with strawberry on the palate. Fresh and juicy, light to medium tannins, some spiciness. Very food friendly. Nicely balanced. Excellent value.

Anthony scored this wine: 90/100

A feel-good wine for enjoying on its own or with a range of foods with some spiciness. Exhilarating aromas of canned peach, and pineapple, with floral and mineral tones. Off-dry, towards dry, with ripe peach and melon on the palate, a juicy, smooth, and luxurious mouthfeel with hints of oak influence, and a lengthy finish. Yummy.

Anthony scored this wine: 90/100

Developing aromas of white peach, citrus (lemon), butterscotch, and restrained oak influence. Medium to full body, with fruit flavours of grapefruit and peach, and a long finish. Pair with seafood and shellfish. From the Bouchard Pere & Fils Wine House: "Winemaking and maturing: Depending on the profile of the vintage maturing is carried out for 10 to 12 months in French oak barrels, with a proportion of new barrels that may be up to 15%."

Aromas of dark cherry, baked blueberry, and gentle vanilla oakiness waft from the glass of this approaching garnet-hued medium to full bodied Classico Riserva. The mouthfeel is juicy with firm yet well integrated tannins. Flavours reflect the aromas, with added spiciness, and the finish is long. This wine cries out for food matches such as Florentine grilled steak, or gourmet pizza topped with pancetta and salty hard cheeses. Drink now or within the next 3 or 4 years. Tasted December 2014 Information from Losi website, http://www.agricolalosi.it/en/prodotti/ Grapes: 90% Sangiovese 5 % Canaiolo 5% Malvasia Nera (produced only with the selected grapes of the best vintages) Ageing: minimum of 36 months in 10 to 20 hl oak casks and 12 to 18 months in bottle before merchandising.

A well-balanced excellent value medium to full bodied red, good to drink on its own or to pair with rich Mediterranean foods such as spanakopita. Developing blackberry and dark fruit candy aromas swell from the glass, with some hints of cigar box. The mouthfeel is luscious and warm, with moderate well integrated tannins, flavours of black cherry, tart blackberry, dried cranberry, spice, some liquorice, and with a moderate length juicy finish. Tasted November 2014 Notes from http://www.gourgazaud.com/blue4Minervois.html Geography of vineyard limestone soil from the "Miocène Era" , mixed with alluvium. Grape varieties Syrah and Mourvèdre. Vinification The maceration of the entire berry takes place at controlled temperature (25° C) during 20 days minimum. The extraction of the tannins is conducted in presence of oxygen.
