This is nice, nice, nice. An inky presence in the glass and a spicy, figgy, smoky, peppery, dark cherry, bouquet of aromas. The silky mouth feel and the long fruity finish make this wine very enticing. A perfect, warming red wine for the winter.

Big, dark and meaty. This blend has a lot going on in the glass: earth, tobacco, plum and a notion of dried fruit, cinnamon, leather... like I said. The acidity and oh, so, present tannin means there's a little more ageing this wine could do, or pull the cork while standing next to a meaty steak. I'd love to try it again in a few years. Nice.

If you are not a fan of Cab Franc, then I defy you to try this and not be converted. Ripe red berries mingle with earth, lavender and warm spices. The gentle tannins and long finish has a mineral tinge. You’ll feel warm and happy after a few sips.

A fantastic wine from the Naramata Bench. The fragrant nose is a little floral with jasmine, apricot, honey, peach, tea notes. There’s a nice balance between a generous, round mouthfeel and an acidic, juicy finish with lingering notes of peach that make you want to go back to the glass and do it all over again.

Made with partially dried Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, sweet rich aromas of prune and dried cherry mingle with smoke, mushroom, tobacco, dried herbs, cocoa... I could go on. There is a lot going on in this glass of wine. Delicate tannins greet the palate and a mocha, spicy finish lingers. You could have a rich lamb stew with this wine, but why ruin it with food.

Memorable Wine

Iron Horse Fumé Blanc - I don't remember the vintage but I had it with a potato encrusted dollop of goat's cheese and it was amazing.
