Douglas scored this wine: 94/100
Deep and dark, with lots of earthy overtones, plum, raisin, blueberry, and black cherry. Mouth-watering acidity that balances the richness. The raisin and black cherry come through at the front of the taste. The tannins are just below medium and are extremely well integrated. Mouth-feel could best be described as liqueur-ish. Too rich for silky, too bright for velvety, but great all the same.
I'm pairing this with barbecued beef tenderloin, blue cheese, and Caesar salad.
