Natalie's Score: 90/100

Trius Brut is light strawberries, soft citrus and spice on the palate with bready, pastry flavours. The brut received a generous wine dosage giving it more body and structure. Very robust icewine dosage doesn't make this sweet in the least just more full-bodied. Strawberry pinot noir influence Enjoy it chilled anytime.

Brut Rosé Sparkling food pairings: Thai coconut shrimp, roast turkey, grilled salmon, lightly spiced curry dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Trius has built their reputation on blending so Sparkling wine should be a natural. Raspberry, cherry and some yeasty notes in the background makes it a well-made bubbly worth it's price.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Ontario sparkling wine is such a great choice for celebrations, but at a price point that is accessible, so why not enjoy it more often? This is a traditional method brut rose sparkling, with a beautiful light samon colour. Aromas of field strawberry, yeasty bread and lemon zest. Dry, with a crisp mousse, with tons of vibrant citrus and berry hints, along with a yeasty, biscuity note. Sparkling is so versatile, enjoy with any seafood, shellfish, or cheese based appetizers.
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A classic Brut Rosé from the beautiful Trius winery, located in the Niagara Peninsula, exposes a crisp and steely acidity. Made from the méthode traditionnelle, this rosé offer aromas of strawberry, white cherry, ginger and pastry. Light and fresh, this sparkling wine will have you salivating for a while. Palate: red currant, apricot, lemon, honey and ginger. Enjoy.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Sparkling into the first long weekend of the 2021 summer!

Trius Brut Rosé NV
Pretty pale salmon pink as the sunlight catches delicate threads of bubbles dancing and popping.

Red berry basket, citrus, watermelon, herbs and flowers, toast/yeast. Fresh acidity lingers on the finish. Cue the celebration or the "just because" moments.
Perfect with Indian takeout.

A whimsical pale pink bubbly with prominent strawberry shortcake aromas. The palate is dry and refreshing. Enjoy with bacon wrapped figs. Tasted by @sommsosa | bespketastings.ca
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pink and fizzy with watermelon, white peach, chalk and toast. Flavours indicate a spectrum of strawberries and cherries following with a sustained lees driven yeasty note at the back. Dry, but with subtle berry fruit lingering. This is lovely and perfect on its own, but will work alongside just about anything. Try with a variety of canape type foods, salty snacks, or herbed chicken and veggie dishes.
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Very pale salmon in colour. Yeast and biscuit before strawberry and raspberry. Crisp and dry with potent effervescence. Lemon and biscuit dominate the palate and finish, but not without red fruit accents. Perfect for cranberry and walnut biscotti.
Trius Brut is a sparkling rosé comes from the Niagara Peninsula wine region. This Pinot Noir sparkler was made in the traditional method and received an icewine dosage giving the wine more body. Lots of raspberry and cherry on the palate. Trius Brut was nominated as the Best Sparkling Wine of the Year at the 2013 All Canadian Wine Championships. - Community Wine Reviews
