Josh Cellars Reserve 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is a dry, rich and smoky Paso Robles Cab with ripe dark berry, plum, raspberry, dark chocolate and dark spices with an espresso coffee finish. The wine is medium-bodied balanced with medium acidity and fresh throughout. Tannins are velvety and soft. Enjoy with roast duck or goose.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: pork tenderloin, hodge-podge, grilled burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Robust Cabernet Sauvignon from the Paso Robles AVA in California. Aromas of black currant and plums, with notes of cigar box, anise, dried herbs and just a touch of smoke. Full bodied and rich with some medium grippy tannins and medium+ acidity on the palate. Fruit notes are rich and rounded, but maintain a touch of tartness to balance. There is just a hint of a toffee or caramel note on the finish where you can also find some herbal and tobacco hints. Enjoy with any slow braised meat or lentil dishes.
