Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

So beautiful! This wine is from estate grapes grown on vines over 50 years old. The aromas are lovely: pear, green apple, and pineapple. Light to medium bodied, with some mouthwatering acidity, and luscious ripe fruit on the palate, with a nice mineral backbone providing some great balance. Enjoy with any seafood or shellfish, or as a nice refreshing afternoon sipper.
Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

From Hester Creek Estate Winery, the Foundation Series 2020 Pinot Blanc is so easy to enjoy. This PB is unoaked, dry, medium-bodied, and fresh with Meyer lemon, white-fleshed stone fruit, subtle pepper spice and clean mineral flavours, crisp, lemony and lingering. Chill and enjoy with pan-fried Dover sole or whitefish. Grapes for this vintage were hand-harvested and mostly sourced from Block 4 with some from Block 9 of the winery’s estate vineyard on the Golden Mile Bench from 50-plus-year-old vines. The two blocks were vinified separately with a long, cool ferment for 25 days, then blended and aged for five months in stainless-steel tanks. Tasted October 2021.
