Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Possibly Hester Creek Estate Winery's best Pinot Blanc yet, certainly the best Pinot Blanc I've ever tasted. The 2019 vintage is fabulously fresh, lush and creamy on the palate - a joy and a delight to drink.

Ultra-fresh on the nose with juicy pineapple, guava and pear aromas with same layered, smooth and mouth-filling on the palate. Medium-bodied and on this side of dry (6.2% residual sugar) this dangerously-drinkable summertime white continues with bright and concentrated stone-fruit, sage, green herbs, white pepper spice, spring-rain mineral notes finishing long, creamy and vibrant on the palate. Very delicious now and excellent value under $16. Chill and enjoy with quiche, brunch fare, patio time and anytime.

Produced from 50-plus years of age old-vines Pinot Blanc from the winery’s estate vineyard, Old Vines Block 4 on the Golden Mile Bench with some additional fruit from Block 9, planted in 1998 with Alsace Clone 54. Fermented in stainless steel tank (unoaked).
Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A vibrant, unoaked pinot blanc. Showcased plenty of attractive citrus and stone fruit aromas and flavours. Medium bodied with a pleasing moderate touch acidity. Overall, this is an impressive pinot blanc from the Golden Mile Bench sub-region with British Columbia’s renowned Okanagan Valley appellation. Enjoy.

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely and rich, but also nice and refreshing too! Fragrant, tropical aromas like pineapple and mangi along with hints of pear and citrus. Dry, medium+ bodied, smooth and creamy on the palate, but with a nice level of balancing acidity. Fruit notes are ripe and rounded, with a hint of spice and minerality on the finish. Enjoy with summer salads or light seafood dishes.
Our estate Pinot Blanc is sourced primarily from our Old Vines Block 4 of our Golden Mile Bench Vineyard, dating back to the original historic planting in 1968. Some additional fruit is from Block 9 of our estate, planted in 1997/98 using Alsace Clone 54. An elegant, dry white with verve, this wine carries aromas of Okanagan orchard fruit, peach, nectarine and dried apricot framed with a light touch of sagebrush. The palate opens with mouth-filling peach, and light honey, leading to a fresh minerality.
