Deep, rich and concentrated. Reminds of the power of Pommard, Burgundy, with all its elegance gathered at the center. Black cherry and bright field berries. Velvet smooth texture with a medium-body and a smoky-earth finish. Oh-la-la!

Pinot Noir food pairings: mushrooms, pork liver pates, tuna, grilled salmon, roasted chicken, duck and other game birds.

Reviews and Ratings

Jessica Nagy rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This wine is made from hand-picked grapes that come from only the top-tier, south facing vines on the Henry of Pelham vineyard, and only in exceptional years. The 2007 Pinot Noir is a bright garnet red, smelling of cherries and currants, supported by earthy, vanilla oak aromas. It's age is starting to show only slightly as the acids are still very present with luscious tannins. This is a wine that needs food to be really appreciated and it paired extremely well with a creamy risotto served with a red wine butter sauce.
Ana rated this wine as 1/100
Melissa Pulvermacher reviewed this wine as follows:

Drinking incredibly well right now (2016). Extremely pleased with the backbone, acidity and overall complexity of this wine. This firm, but round wine had me salivating over the acidity and fresh cherry fruit showcased especially on the finish. This wine will continue to drink at its peak over the next year.
Harvest Date: September 24th to October 3rd, 2007
Yields of 1 1/2 Tonnes/acre and below (~25 hL/ha)
Fermented in stainless steel then aged in French Oak, with 33% new.
