From the Short Hills Bench, Henry Of Pelham's Speck Family Reserve 2016 Pinot Noir is a smooth, lush Pinot Noir with grapes hand-harvested from the oldest estate vineyards, planted in 1988. This vintage is showing flavours of ripe dark cherry, crushed black raspberry, earthy violets and sweet oak spice on the palate. Beautifully balanced, finishes long with velvety tannins. Buy it by the case. Pair with rack of lamb.

Pinot Noir food pairings: smoked salmon, grilled pork chops, coq au vin, beef bourguignon.

On the nose: Typical Pino, floral (rose petals), forest floor, cigar box, earthy, cherry, raspberry, tobacco.

Taste: Cherry, strawberry, tobacco, cedar.

Great mouthfeel, well balanced, with a medium long finish, nice acidity and well rounded.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Lovely. A little more full bodied than expected, but ripe and rich. Aromas of cherry and strawberry, earth, tobacco and violets. Nicely balanced between fruit, acid, body, and spicy/earthy notes. Enjoy this with lamb.
Simon Chen rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is more toward a heavy side of pinot. It has more concentrated fruits, a bit jammy, good acidity, and nice tannin.
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a quality Pinot cropped super low
Ripe and youthful. This is pretty new world Pinot.
This comes from Pelham's Short Hills Bench appellation, which is uniquely theirs.
Ripe and soft. Mace and cherries. Soft vanilla and only a suggestion of woodiness.
A lovely wine for smoked duck.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Loads of berry (blueberry, blackberry, raspberry) with a smoky-savoury note of beef jerky and some bitter herb.
