On the shores of the mighty Lake Roosevelt is a legacy of grape growing that is sheer testament to the unique, favorable soil and weather conditions naturally perfect for flavorful wines. With over a decade of experience growing wine grapes in the shadow of Whitestone Rock, Whitestone is proud to release wines exclusively showcasing this special fruit. Using grapes only from our estate vineyard, Whitestone is able to handcraft bold red wines and resurrect a tradition of wine making in the region.

Whitestone Winery is proudly located in the heart of downtown Wilbur, Washington. Our original production facility was located in a renovated gas station along main street. As the winery has grown, the gas station was converted into a tasting room. Keeping with the feel of the building, Whitestone's Tasting Room offers a full service tasting experience for weary travelers along Highway 2.

Behind the tasting room is our current barrel aging facility, where future vintages of Whitestone Wine are aging. On pleasant days through the year, visitors to the area might catch a glimpse of the big bay door open and wine maker Michael busy at work preparing the next great wine.

Next door to the tasting room and barrel facility is Whitestone's latest expansion. In the fall of 2006, the winery acquired the warehouse next door. This 10,000 square foot building is currently used during harvest and for events at the winery. In the future, it will house all of Whitestone's production, from fermenting through bottling,as we update and renovate the building.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
