Tiritiri Estate is probably New Zealand's smallest vineyard certified organic vineyard at just 500 vines. We hand-harvest and gently whole bunch press our grapes. The wine is fermented in French oak barriques and held on the lees for 10 months before being bottled. We use screw caps to ensure the integrity of every bottle of our wine.

We will not harvest our grapes if we feel they will not produce a top flight wine and for this reason we don't get a vintage every year. This makes our wines quite hard to find and demand often exceeds supply.

Our wines have won many gold and silver medals both here in New Zealand and overseas (San Francisco Wine Competition and London International Wine Challenge)

We are happy to send our wine anywhere in the world.

Winemaker: Judy and Duncan Smith

Winemaker's Choice: 2004 Tiritiri Reserve

Best LCBO Brand: 2008 Tiritiri Reserve chardonnay

Distribution: Mail order and cellar door sales

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
