Hours of Operation: Cellar Door April-October (summer) Monday to Sunday, from 10am to 5pm. October-April (winter) Wednesday to Sunday, from 10am to 4pm. Closed on public holidays.


The Sileni winery is based in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand’s oldest wine region. The company has vineyard plantings in the Hawke’s Bay and Marlborough and is one of the largest family-owned wine producers in New Zealand.

The first vintage was in 1998 and since then the wines have won world wide acclaim.

In ancient Greece the Sileni were companions of Dionysus, the god of good things - wine, vineyards and theatre. Named in their honour, Sileni Estates stands for great food, great wine and great company. Sileni boasts a state of the art winery designed to crush over 1500 tonnes of grapes. Our Winemaking Team have honed their winemaking skills in Alsace, Bordeaux, Burgundy, California and Chile and Oregon and we strive to maintain high standards in environmentally sustainable viticultural and winemaking practices. Sileni Estates produce hand crafted wines that reflect the unique characteristics of the vineyards.

Sileni Estates is much more than just a winery - it is an Epicurean Centre and a gourmet foodstore, showcasing the finest Hawke's Bay, New Zealand and international product.
