Forty years ago the Slamka family planted their first vines in the Okanagan Valley in preparation for a vineyard. In 1996, the three Slamka brothers took on theBringing in the grapes challenge of establishing their own winery. Wines vinted from the hot summer grapes of 1994 made up our first commercial releases. A blend of traditional growing techniques, modern wine making practices, and mature vines all combine to create the unique, rewarding taste of our wines. Our estate-grown Pinot Noirs and Icewines have achieved growing recognition, and we have lately been producing some exceptional Sauvignon Blancs. To further increase our presence in the B.C. wine industry, we embarked on an ambitious expansion of our facilities in 2005. By the fall of 2006, our new wine shop welcomed "friends of the grape" from around the globe, and we debuted our new winery lounge during the 2008 Okanagan Spring Wine Festival.

Distribution: Winery, shipment within Canada, VQA stores, select restaurants and private wine stores in B.C.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable: A Tipsy Search

  Best Books of the Year

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
