Hyatt Vineyards was established by Leland and Lynda Hyatt in 1983. Evolving from a modest Estate vineyard surrounding the Winery, Hyatt Vineyards has grown to 180 acres in four separate sites all within 3 miles of the original plantings. Each of the four different vineyards, Cherry Hill, Three Rocks, Roza Ridge and the original Estate Vineyard display significantly distinct elevation and exposure. Varietals include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Chardonnay, Riesling, Black Muscat and Zinfandel. From the Winery's first release in 1987, awards, medals and very favorable press have followed consistently year after year.

ROZA RIDGE
Our Roza Ridge brand started with its first vintage in 2002. A collaborative effort has resulted in this Premier category of our very best from the four Hyatt Vineyards. Our first releases were small amounts of the 2002 vintage, followed by a unique Viognier/Chardonnay from the 2005 vintage.

In Spring of 2006, the very select micro-climate of the Northern part of the Yakima Valley became its own American Viticultural Appellation. Hyatt and Roza Ridge are in the center of this small and very appropriate new Appellation, Rattlesnake Hills, which enjoys better heat-units than the rest of the Valley - ensuring ripening - with elevations ranging from 700 - 1200 feet above sea level. This more precisely-defined Viticultural area contains 20 wineries and shows enormous promise of balanced and excellent fruit for us to transform into wonderful wines, in the tradition of premier quality Hyatt Vineyard wines.

ZILLAH, WASHINGTON STATE
Zillah, named after the daughter of the town founder, is 18 miles south of Yakima at the north end of the Yakima Valley. Long a 'bread-basket' for a variety of agricultural products, Yakima Valley has been recognized as a producer of high-value wine grapes and in turn, award winning wines.

From Hyatt Winery, views West and Northwest showcase the two dramatic mountains of the Cascade Range, Mount Adams to the left and Mount Rainier to the right. It's a spectacular setting and the site of many weddings, celebrations and in general, fantastic picnicking.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
