Hickory hollow sits on the edge of beautiful Seneca Lake in the heart of the world famous Finger Lakes. From the breath taking view of the vineyards to the mist of ol Seneca you can appreciate the beauty of the area.

Hickory hollow had a humble beginning: as a piece of scrub lot noticed during a "drive by", to one of the Finger Lake's destinations for fine wine.

With a lot of planning and foresight, the project came together. Bruce and Suzanne Kendall with winemaker Peter Oughterson and his wife Cindy put the plan together, then the work really started!

The first project was to clear the land. The brush was so thick you had to crawl on your hands and knees just to see it!

While the building was going up, Peter was hard at work at Highland Cellars crafting the new wines.
The building was completed in August of 2003 and the wines were ready too.
