Deep in the heart of the Santa Cruz Mountains lies an old estate rich in history and tradition. Established in 1881 by California pioneer Pierre Cornwall; this premium grape growing property was once owned by the famous director, Alfred Hitchcock. In 1978, Bob and Judy acquired the Heart O' The Mountain estate located in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Heart O' The Mountain was established and named by California pioneer Pierre Cornwall in 1881, where he and his son Bruce lived and produced wine under the Santa Sada label. Between the years 1940 and 1974 the property was owned by Alfred Hitchcock, the famous director. The estate today is very much the same way Cornwall and Hitchcock left it. The Brassfield family has taken great pains to preserve the historic estate.Today Heart O' The Mountain is owned by the Robert Brassfield family, producing a limited amount of hand-crafted Pinot Noir.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
