Founded by the Monson Family in 1999, Goose Ridge is an estate winery dedicated to handcrafting exquisite wines from grapes grown on their 1.400 acre vineyard. With three generations of diversified agriculture in the Columbia Valley, the Monson family believes that great wines start in the vineyard. We are committed to producing consistent, high quality, memorable wines through sound viticulture practices, site selection with low yield vineyards and artisan winemaking. Our winemaker, Kendall Mix works closely with our vineyard manager to indentify the best blocks in our Estate Vineyard. Wine lovers can choose between single varietal wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Riesling, or they can challenge their palate with our signature blends g3, Vireo and Sol Duc.

Winemaker
Veteran Columbia Valley winemaker Kendall Mix joined Goose Ridge Vineyard & Estate Winery as head winemaker in April of 2010. Kendall joins the Goose Ridge team with 20 years of wine making experience. Kendall has spent his years in both high end small lot wineries and large volume production facilities.

In his new position, Mix will oversee winemaking for all three wines that comprise the Monson Family Estates' portfolio: Goose Ridge, StoneCap and Sol Duc. Kendall holds a degree in microbiology from the University of Alberta and attended UC Davis, studying viticulture and enology.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
