Fletcher Bay Winery specializes in producing premium, rich and full bodied red wines by using Columbia Valley's best quality grapes from some of the best vineyards in Walla Walla and the Yakima Valley. Recently, the winery introduced its first white wine, a Pinot Grigio, made with grapes from the Yakima Valley and has already been very well-received by wine connoisseurs.

When Jim Wilford began creating wine at his home on Bainbridge Island he wanted to take some traditional blends and experiment, developing a unique blend in his Battle Point Red. The Tara Rouge is a smooth and full bodied Right Bank Bordeaux blend. All of his red wines are full bodied, unfiltered and unfined. While most of the grapes in his wines are from French Bordeaux origin, he also incorporates the Spanish Tempranillo and the Italian Sangiovese grapes. In the case of Battle Point Red he blends Lemberger grapes for a uniquely supple yet luscious taste. By incorporating a lot of French oak in his wines it produces just the right character and flavor.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
