Everett Orchards is a sixth generation farm located in the northeast corner of New York State's Champlain Valley. The Champlain Valley area of New York has long been regarded for the high quality McIntosh apples it produces. The sun filled days and cool nights provide an ideal environment for the production of apples. Other commercial apple varieties produced include
Cortland, Empire, Red Delicious, Paula Red, Spartan and Jersey Mac.

The foundation of Everett Orchards dates back to 1776 when Captain Edward Everett moved to the Champlain Valley from Massachusetts after serving in the American Revolution. Captain Everett had received a 150 acre tract of land for doing some surveying in the area the previous year. His son, David Allen Everett purchased the property where the farm still exists and
operates today in Peru, New York.

In August of 2002, the Everett's opened a farm market and cidery in nearby Plattsburgh, New York. In 2005 they began producing Dry, Semi-Sweet, and Sweet hard ciders which sold out by the end of the season. For 2006 the production of the hard cider doubled, and today the selection includes a new carbonated cider called King Blossom and a cross-over cider called Bitter Sweet. New in 2009 we introduced Kingston Black, a lightly carbonated Cider.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
