Marcus is a second-generation winemaker who fell in love with wine as a young boy helping with vintage in his native home Australia. He graduated from Adelaide University Roseworthy program with a Bachelor of Science (Oenology major) in 1997. Since then he has worked over 30 vintages around the world making wine in Europe, South Africa, Australia and Canada. With many years of experience as a Partner, General Manager and Chief Winemaker at multiple wineries, he really understands from the most intimate level what makes an iconic wine. He has also been directly involved with setting up over five new winery projects. Marcus has achieved international success with his wines earning more medals and awards than can be listed. For the last five years he has travelled to over 20 countries working as an international wine buyer and consultant. Marcus recently became the 5th Master of Wine in Canada and the only University qualified winemaker/viticulturist MW in the country. He also won the Villa Maria Viticulture award and the Errazuriz Wine Business award for the best performance in the Master of Wine Examinations. In his spare time he loves spending time with his family.

Rachel was born in the Niagara region of Ontario, Canada. Her first involvement in the wine industry was while working as an accountant with Niagara based wineries. Since then she has worked internationally in wine retail, marketing and administration. She is also an accomplished taster and a qualified wine professional, having passed the highly regarded WSET level 3 Advanced wine program. Over many years working in the industry Rachel has developed a love for wine photography and has spent 5 years travelling to international wine regions and documenting the experience. Rachel is the proud mother of 3 children, and in her spare time loves being outside paddleboarding, hiking and biking in beautiful Naramata.
