There is something mystical about the Saskactchwan Cypress Hills located in the southwest corner of the province. A great place to live. This is where we find Marty & Marie Bohnet's winery. A working ranch which began producing grapes in 1995 and planted their first commercial planting in 2004. In 2005 they started producing fruit wines and open the winery in 2007.

Cypress Hills has the only commercial vineyard on the prairies.

They had 14,000 bottles for sale in 2007, and will have 17,000 2008. Their goal it to produce between 25,000 - 35,000 bottles in the next five years. They also produce mead.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable: A Tipsy Search

  Best Books of the Year

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.

Gary Vaynerchuck, Wine Library TV
