Burning Mills Vineyards is a premium vineyard estate located in the South Coast of Ontario in the town of Port Dover. Founded in 2007 on a homestead originally developed as an equestrian retreat, the estate will offer two lines of wines - Burning Mills and Burning Ice.

Burning Mills wines are Amarone-style produced using the appassimento process, a style that originated in the Verona region of Italy. Grapes are harvested perfectly ripe by carefully choosing bunches having fruits not too close to each other. The length of the drying process is typically several months but varies according to harvest conditions. The final result is a very ripe, delicious, big-bodied wine.

Burning Ice is produced from grapes that have been frozen while still on the vine. The sugars and other dissolved solids do not freeze, allowing a more concentrated grape must to be pressed from the frozen grapes, resulting in a smaller amount of more concentrated, very sweet wine.

Burning Mills Vineyards’ exquisite terroir and unique climate, along with meticulous attention to detail in the vineyard and in the cellar, allows for wines that have powerful, concentrated fruit with finesse and balance.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
