As one of Vancouver Island’s oldest estate vineyards and a long time family-owned winery, Blue Grouse produces exceptional Cowichan Valley wines which express their place of origin – and a lot of personality, to boot! Elegant, fresh, cool-climate style, rich in balanced acidity, and intense in flavor, Blue Grouse wines are meant to be enjoyed and sure to be remembered.

Once the preferred habitat of Blue Grouse, the 45 acres of Blue Grouse Estate are tucked away on a sunny slope of Vancouver Island’s Cowichan Valley, which is believed to take its name from a First Nation's word meaning "the warm land". A fitting name, as the valley enjoys Canada’s warmest mean temperature.

Blue Grouse produces a dozen cool climate varieties including Ortega, Siegerrebe, Bacchus, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Black Muscat, a Blue Grouse exclusive.


Blue Grouse is located 45 km north of Victoria or 7 km south of Duncan, just 1 km west of the Highway.
