Ash Hollow is about family, friends, food, fun and great wine - Ash Hollow is also about roots and place; and that place is Walla Walla, Washington. A sense of place is pervasive and a friendly spirit of camaraderie is contagious. From the estate vineyards, to the boutique winery, to the quaint downtown Walla Walla tasting room, there is that certain something that can't be defined by logic or science - that sense of place and warmth that are so special and unmistakably woven into the Ash Hollow experience.

Today, their dreams and hard work are an art in motion. Ash Hollow expresses the wonderful and unique characteristics of their vineyards. The Walla Walla Valley, located in southeastern Washington State, enjoys near perfect seasonal growing conditions as well as the same 46 degrees North latitude as Bordeaux, France.

Ash Hollow has compiled a wonderful team, including Winemaker Spencer Sievers and Vineyard Foreman Cris Lopez, who believe in wine growing, rather than winemaking. The viticulture and winemaking teams strive to "make the wine in the vineyard," working towards growing quality grapes that will develop into ultra-premium wines with little intervention. Balance is the key at Ash Hollow - nature with nurture, winemaking with wine growing, wines with depth and character, and a group of family and friends who enjoy the fruits of their labor - and love sharing it with old friends and new. They strive to craft wines which will enhance a meal and social gatherings. Oftentimes, the wine is a masterful blend of varietals designed to weave a mélange of flavors on the palate, and other times, the wine is a single varietal, vineyard designated wine that showcases the winery's fantastic and distinctive terroir.

Ash Hollow invites you to come visit breathtakingly beautiful, friendly, and easy-going Walla Walla. Sunset Magazine crowned Walla Walla, "Wine Destination of the Year 2005." Come see for yourself!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
