Fairview Wine Estate was the first in South Africa to plant Viognier about ten years ago. This lovely white was partially aged in oak barrels, which gives the wine added creaminess and texture along with aromas of passion fruit, white peach, Asian pear and smoke. It has a gorgeous full-bodied weight that ends in a satisfying long finish.

Reviews and Ratings

Glenda rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

This fashionable variety is planted in tiny amounts in South Afica. Fairview's Viognier is one of few examples found on liquor store shelves currently.
Fairview's Viognier pairs well with spicy foods as well as with Chinese and Vietnamese dishes.
The flavours of nectarine are rich and there is a lovely creaminess to the wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
