Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Warm vintage, warm flavours. Black cherry, black plum skin, spice, and a hint of grilled herb and beetroot. Excellent length and purity of fruit. 90 Points.

I paired this with a grilled flattened chicken that was marinated for 24 hours in balsamic, thyme, and rosemary. The sweet fruit balanced the char of the meat, and that grilled herb note nicely complemented the rosemary and thyme in the marinade. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Tasha Taylor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Light bodied, medium legs, fruity. tart black and red cherry notes on the palate, slightly earthy, low tannins high acidity. My favourite pairing is with Niagara Gold Cheese - Delicious!
Enticing with wild raspberry, cherry, boysenberry, woodsmoke and a touch of beetroot. Elegant, medium bodied and very dry. Though there is a marked juiciness to the fruit, the whole thing is nicely backed by smoky oak. Fleshy tannins give a plush texture and mouthfeel. Nice length. Source: Vintages Wine Catalogue.
