Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This 100%Toro varietal from Spain shows aromas of cherries, ripe plums and tobacco, followed by a palate giving ripe plums, cherries, licorice, leather, tobacco and some minerality. Dry with grippy tannins, high acidity and a long spicy finish.
Tasted July 2016
Perry rated this wine as 90/100
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Fresh tobacco, ripe black cherry and star anise are the hallmarks of this playful wine. Not as serious as previous vintages available in Ontario, but a fun drink nevertheless. Perfect with red meat dishes. 89 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
From the Toro wine region in Spain, Tinta de Toro 2012 is a dry red wine made from 100% Tinta de Toro wine grapes. This robust red is full-bodied with lots of red fruit on the palate. Drink now and for the next couple of years . - Community Wine Reviews
