Savoury black fruit with a satisfying meaty note on the mid-palate. Cassis and blackberry tickle the senses and lead into a long smoky finish. Such great finesse and elegance in a wine known for being all upfront with fruit. Sample and see that winemaker Sue Hodder has a special kind of genius when it comes to cool-climate Australian red wines.

Plum, blackberry, savory herb and pepper notes. The palate is very rich and mouthwatering, with a deep smokey finish. Would go well with a pot roast with wine sauce. Very lovely wine!

The nose offers black fruit, mint and pepper with the palate featuring dark, chocolate, blackberry and licorice. The flavors blend together really well. Pair with BBQ beef brisket.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby red, the nose shows blackberry, plum, cedar, leather, pepper, and violets. A well integrated Shiraz showing layers of dark fruit, spice, supported by big tannins refreshing acidity. A nice Shiraz to enjoy with fine cuts of beef. Tasted February 2015. 90 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Eric rated this wine as 90/100
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Plum, blackberry, salty minerality, old leather, and a little spice. The taste is mostly plum and very smooth. There's medium acidity and a little soft tannin.
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

August 17, 2014: Deep ruby/purple, plum, blackberry, black pepper, smoke and some green herb. Sweet, plummy, cassis, eucalyptus, fine tannins and medium acidity suggest drinking this wine over the next 2-3 years with grilled/braised beef and pork.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The nose shows blackberry and spice. Delicious palate with blackberries, spice, touch of pepper and oak. spicy fruit finish.
Valérie Dufour - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

My go to wine at a Steak house. Very nice nose full of cherries and red liquorice. The acidity is "vive" in that vintage. Not as smooth in the mouth as other years.
