Reviews and Ratings

Carola Price rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Lime peel and ginger root with pink peppercorns on the nose. Bright and acidic body with pink grapefruit and key lime. Pair with chevre salad or ceviche with lots of cilantro and lime.
I'm so glad South Africa has kept Chenin on the radar. This is a terrific buy.

David Skinner rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

From 40 year old bush vineyards in the Helderberg area South Africa. Light gold and clean. Solid aromas of pear, white peach and hints of honey. Crisp acidity balanced by some creamy texture. Sweet fruit and tart acidity combined in balance. A moderately long fruit-driven finish.

Smoked salmon and avocado crostini might just like this one.Great value!
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Candied ginger, honey, and mango chutney. Sweet and spicy.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

From the biodynamic Waterkloof Winery in Stellenbosch W. O., South Africa, this Chenin Blanc shows fragrant apple, melon and white flower notes on nose and palate with clean fruit flavours. Dry, satiny texture and pretty finish.
Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Alex: Unripe style here, certainly different with this grape. Tomato leaf, green apple, lemon zest nose. Very crisp and lean style, some tropical elements of green papaya appear on the palate, finely woven texture driven by acidity, and some lees creaminess. This would be a unique offering with west coast oysters I feel, and certainly ceviche. Nice touch outside the box. 87pts

Priya: It does smell like a veggie garden but I'm not sure tomato leaf is quite what I get. It is fruitier to taste than I would expect and is lovely when properly chilled. A great wine to share with girlfriends on a warm, summer eve. 87pts
Traditionally Chenin was a workhorse grape in the region but not more. The grapes are dry-farmed on 30-year-old bush vines planted on the slopes facing False Bay. - Community Wine Review
