Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Having cellered this wine for 3.5 years I expected it to be showing more signs of ageing. Not the case. The colour is deep dark ruby red, the nose is full of blackberry, blueberry, vanilla and wet stone. The palate offers a basket of rich dark berries, with silky smooth tannins, refreshing acidity, and the long berry finish makes it a great social wine but also pairs well with braised beef and roasted vegetables, or gourmet burgers. Great length to the berry finish, with a structure that will withstand and benefit from an additional 3-6 years of ageing. Drink 2014-2020. Tasted April 2014. 89 points - Matt Steeves @QuercusVino
Dense purple; medium- to full-bodied, with strong regional and varietal expression; has excellent structure and even more length; great outcome for the vintage. Drink [until] 2020. Score: 94 Source: James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au
