A lovely Chilean red wine made from Cabernet grapes planted on vines that grow in granite soils of the winery's Trinidad Vineyard. This is located in the cool climate and coastal region of the Maipo Valley. Aromas of fleshy ripe black plums, spice, smoke, graphite and cigar box. Pair with a pepper steak.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: potato and chick pea stew, grilled sirloin steak, bobtje.

Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A plush and complex full blooded Cab that is great on quality and affordability. Dark purple, with holiday spice aromas, and baking cocoa. 18 months of French oak fleshes out the flavours while still rendering it ready to drink as well as stylish. Plenty of blackcurrant fruit on the long finish. Pair with gnocchi alla Romana, laden with fresh Parmesan
From the Trinidad Vineyard, Maipo Valley wine region, Viña Ventisquero Grey Glacier Single Block 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is a dry, medium-plus bodied Cab Sauv., youthful with black currant, cedar spice, dried herbs and minty flavours on the palate. Decant for one hour prior to serving or give it a couple of years cellaring time. - Community Wine Reviews
