A light-bodied, pretty, floral white wine that reminds me of a cross between Riesling and Torrontes. Perfect for seafood, shellfish and salads. Great price. Finishes with lovely notes of white peach blossom.

Auxerrois food pairings: paprika-spiced chicken, pad Thai.

Reviews and Ratings

Terry Jeans - Certified S rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This pale-yellow, medium-bodied wine displays some nice tropical fruit, medium acidity, minerality, with a slight vegetable note. This is a refreshing summer wine, that is a good pairing for shell fish on the BBQ.
Chris Coughlin - WSET level 3 grad rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Low to medium intensity aromas and flavours of: pear, citrus and some tropical notes, this slightly creamy mouth-feel wine would go nicely with medium spiced foods. Enjoy on its own too.
Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Clean and crisp with notes of apple, pear, peach, blossom, and lime flavours, this wine has refreshing acidity that carries the flavours through on the long, refreshing finish.

Pair with your favourite grilled veggies and summer salads.

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lovely floral and tree fruit aromas, followed by ripe pear, apple and slight herbal ouch on the palate.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Light touches of melon, floral notes, and lemon, with a 'saltiness' to balance the mild sweetness. This would pair nicely with rice and green veggies.
Kristin Perrin rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lemon / Pear / Hint of Green Apple /Floral / Mineral; light bodied with lively acidity, lingering finish.

Perfect for lighter seafood!
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

June 22, 2014: First time tasting auxerrois outside of Alsace, this shows a pale yellow with somewhat exotic nose with orchard fruit; apricot, apple, pear, citrus and also some pineapple. The palate is medium bodied, just off dry with sweet ripe fruit echoing the nose and balanced by a good seam of acidity on a longish citrus and apple finish. Nice paring for grilling lightly curried shrimp or seafood with a fruit salsa.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Sweet orchard fruit. Slightly off-dry. A lively mouthfeel. Impressive expression of Auxerrois.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Floral aromas with citrus and pear flavors. A touch of minerality gives it a nice finish.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Pale yellow with aromas of green apple, pear, melon, and a spritz of citrus. This wine is pretty light in flavor and body and just slightly creamy, with pear and melon on the palate. This wine would pair best with a light dish such as baked white fish, or a salad with vinegarette as the mild acidity in the wine would tone down the acidity in the food.
