Reviews and Ratings

Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Elegant and aromatic. The complex nose draws in you - gorgeous aromas of blackberry, cassis and black currant. Earth, cigar and leather are secondary aromas. Dark fruit flavour intermingled with smoke. Dry with medium tannins. A balanced wine - everything in harmony; fruit, tannins and acidity. Tasted March 11, 2018.
Nicole Lewis rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A full-bodied Australian wine, with an intense garnet hue and sporting aromas of black cherry, cassis, pepper and wood smoke. Much fruit, yet with an acidic spine to encourage drinking and eating. If you like big wines, this is for you.

An excellent pairing with old cheddar cheese.

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Beautifully integrated, well balanced. Juicy, mouthwatering acidity, medium fine tannins, medium alcohol. Medium finish. Decanted 2h. Black cherry, leather, baking spices, eucalyptus. Paired well with gourmet beef burgers. Tasted 2015 vintage in March 2018. 92 points
Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Luscious Australian Cabernet Sauvignon! Aromas of vanilla, black cherry, pepper, and hints of eucalyptus that transform to a persistent peppery finish, and balanced tannin and acidity.
Lovely with creamy pasta dishes or hamburgers on the barbecue.
Tasted March 2018.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby colour with notes of strawberry jam, raspberry and cooked fruit with elements of cherry, mocha, smoke and soft cedar wood. Flavours are full, showing tart raspberry, strawberry, paprika spice and dried leaves. High acidity, medium plus body, velvety full tannins and finish. 91 points - tasted March 11th 2018
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A lovely, elegant wine. Aromas include cherry, raspberry, dried herbs, with hints of eucalyptus and black pepper. Full bodied, nice and fruit forward, but balanced with spicy notes and smooth tannin. Enjoy with a grilled steak or old cheddar cheese.
Simon Chen rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Green pepper, cedarwood on the nose. But the wine is actually a lot more full body than it smells. Black fruits, silky, medium body and medium finish. Nice daily wine that can pair well with all kinds of meat dishes.
