Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby coloured Carmenere from Undurraga Wines in Chile’s Colchagua Valley. Featuring aromas of strawberry, fresh herbs, pepper, spicy tobacco, and soft leather. Flavours show plum, red berries, raspberry jam and a splash of granite minerals. Medium acidity and silky tannins. Tasty and clean. A good pairing with grilled sausages.
Established in 1885, Undurraga began to take shape in the 1870s when founder Francisco Undurraga Vicuna began importing vines from France and Germany. Carmenère was initially misidentified as Merlot in Chile but has risen to become Chile's signature red grape. The 2014 Sibaris is a wine of considerable precision and character. Floral, earthy and filled with wild berry and cherry notes with complex black pepper and rosemary tones. Superb structure and a refined elegance set it apart. Enjoy with lamb stew. - Community Wine Reviews
