Remarkably rich and creamy for an unoaked Chardonnay, likely due to the two months this wine spent on its lees and undergoing 50% malolactic fermentation. The grapes come from the Wismer and Foxcroft vineyards in Niagara. Lots of presence and a voluptuous mouth-feel with a long finish.

Chardonnay food pairings: spaghetti with basil and zucchini.

Very pleasant smell, light wine
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The grapes of this wine come from the Lenko parcel of the Beamsville Bench in Niagara. The vines are almost 60 years old now (planted in 1959) giving the wine some added complexity that comes with age. Batonnage and partial malolactic fermentation add a creaminess not commonly found in unoaked Chardonnay. Typical aromas of stonefruit and citrus with flavours of ripe apple and lemon. Velvety mouthfeel with a long finish. #tasteontario Tasted March 27/18
Simon Chen rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

from 50+ years old vines. Although it's unoaked, you still get a very round and rich texture from this chardonnay.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Offers well balanced apple and citrus notes with a touch of creaminess and some tropical fruit on the palate.
Our 2016 vintage proved to be a bountiful and ideal year for this Unoaked Chardonnay from the mineral-rich Beamsville Bench. Our Winemaker Adam Pearce worked creatively to layer the flavour in unsurpassed complexity, freshness, with soft apple and lemon fruit, and perfume deserving of the oldest Chardonnay vineyard in Canada, exclusively for Two Sisters from Lenko Vineyards.

Laced with the Escarpment’s famous limestone minerality to frame the sensation of fruit sweetness, and extended lees contact including batonage, provides a creamy, mouth-pleasing experience. Will increase in detailed complexity into 2018/2019. - Winery
