Smoky and toasty from lavish oak aging. This full-bodied and delicious Australian red wine blend of Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvèdre (GSM). Aromas of fleshy black plum and berry. Round and smooth and mouth-filling. Portions of these grapes grow on some of the Barossa Valley's oldest vines. Pair with a pepper steak.

Shiraz Grenache Mourvèdre food pairings: grilled red meats.

Fred rated this wine as 92/100
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Terrific value GSM(Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre) from the Barossa Valley in Australia. Full-bodied with juicy red fruit aromas, black plum , pepper, toasted oak, smoke and polishing tannins. Good fruit to acid balance. Winemaker suggests there's another 5-10 years of aging potential in this bottle. Great price performer at $20. Perfect ribs 'n' chicken slathered in BBQ sauce wine or burger with all the fixings.
Tasted: August 2015
The 2012 vintage of this robust Australian red wine is an estate-grown blend of 45% Shiraz, 30% Grenache and 25% Mourvèdre grapes. This Barossa Valley red wine has been owned by the Schulz family since 1865 who owned a butcher business. The bluestone butchers shop has been restored to house the winery. - Community Wine Reviews
