From the Ribera del Duero D.O. Trus Crianza 2018 is produced from 100% Tempranillo. Dry, medium-bodied, plushy and easy to love with ripe dark cherry, plum, licorice, savoury herbs, clove and pepper spice flavours. Finishes long with dark chocolate and stony mineral flavours on the palate. Grapes for this vintage were sourced from five sites with clay, calcareous soils, 800 metres above sea level.

Crianza food pairings: roast of pork, goose, turkey, grilled meats.

Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A Ribera del Duero with a pronounced nose of ripe black fruit; black cherry, blackberry, black plum and blackcurrant (imparting a very slight funky note), vanilla, a floral hint, cedar and wet stones. Dry, medium bodied, medium tannin, deep purple, medium acidity and high alcohol. Ribera del Duero is one of my favourites and this does not disappoint. Excellent with grilled steak or sipping on its own. It is a Crianza, so this means that it has been aged a minimum of 1 year in barrel and 1 year in bottle before release.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
