Natalie's Score: 93/100

Finca Ambrosía 2014 is a single-vineyard 100% Malbec produced from grapes grown in the Gualtallany, Tupungato regions of Mendoza and is part of Trapiche's Terroir Series. Vines were planted at 1307 metres above sea level in calcium carbonate soils. The Malbec is fresh and perfumed with savoury herbs, ripe blackberry with dried dark fruit, blackberry, smoky dark spice flavours on the palate. Gualtallany is becoming an increasingly fashionable wine region for Malbec because of how grapes develop their polyphenols, flavours and tannin character. The wine was aged for 19 months in French oak barrels. The Terroir Series showcases the different wines from the different terroirs in Argentina.

Malbec food pairings: hard cheeses, grilled game meats, roast pheasant.

From Trapiche's Terroir Series, Finca Ambrosía 2014 is a single-vineyard 100% Malbec produced from grapes grown in the Gualtallany, Tupungato regions of Mendoza planted at 1307 metres above sea level in calcium carbonate soils. This Malbec is perfumed with savoury herbs, ripe blackberry and figgy aromas with the same on the palate finishing long with a clean minerality. Gualtallany is an increasingly fashionable region within the Mendoza as the fruit there develops rich polyphenols in the skins: colour, flavour and tannin character. The wine was aged for 19 months in French oak barrels. The Terroir Series really showcases the different wines from the different terroirs that Argentina is capable of producing. - Community Wine Reviews
