A tasty and full-bodied Argentine red wine made from the country's classic Malbec grape. The vines are planted between 750 and 1100 metres above sea level. Aromas of black fruit, pepper and toasty oak. Pair with grilled meats and Argentine asado (BBQ).

Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Medium purple colour with medium viscosity and staining. Fabulous bouquet with blueberry, licorice, stewed fruit, soft suede leather and a hint of coffee and caramel.
In the mouth, cassis, dark plum elements of bramble berry pie filling and preserved red and dark fruit with a nice touch of vanilla rounding it out.
Medium acidity, Body, Finish and Length accompanied with Medium minus tannins. Dry (2g/L) Fruity, full and fine, quite well balanced. Not hard to see why it's the best selling Malbec worldwide. Flavourful and robust.
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Medium garnet colour. Sweet aroma of stewed plums. Medium mouthfeel with a hint of juicy sweetness, vanilla, smoke. Balanced, medium-low tannins. Long finish of plums and blackberries. And easy drinking Malbec.

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A richly flavoured and aromatic Malbec Reserve, with blackberry and dark plum aromas and a palate giving concentrated blackberries, plum jam, mocha, vanilla and touch of smoke. Well-balanced, smooth mouthfeel and long plummy finish with mocha finale.
Tasted Oct. 2016
Caitlin Coleman rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Flagship grape varietal Malbec from Argentina is beautifully expressed in this Reserve wine. Lots of plums and black cherries on the nose with a sprinkle of black peppercorn. This is an easy drinking wine with non-offensive tannin to offer just enough body to pair well with any cheese or red meat.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A decent Malbec for the price. Black fruit and smoky oak aromas and flavors. The flavors blend together nicely. Pair with beef burritos or beef chili.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Bright ruby red, 13.5% ABV. Blueberry and ripe plum on the nose. Almost ripe Blackberry, ripe plum with a hint of oak on the palate. Medium tannins, medium body. Juicy and mouthwatering. Pairs well with BBQ burgers. Tasted April 17, 2017. 87 points. Great value.
