Reviews and Ratings

James Belardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Argentina has embraced the Malbec grape (originally a French variety) and made it their own shining star. Since the wine-makers' embraced the grape with passion while growing the grapes in perfect soil and having excellent growing conditions, the Argentinian Malbec has refined significantly to become an outstanding wine. Over the past few years Argentinian wines have gained more and more popularity and has helped make Argentina one of the top producers of wine in the world!

Trapiche is a major producer of wine and their Malbec (especially the 'Reserve') is outstanding. It has a depth-of-character that could easily put it into a higher class of wine. It's a joy to cook with, especially when making a sauce with sautéed mushrooms for steaks!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
