Rich, round and luscious Chardonnay with terrific balancing acidity for roast chicken. A supple, full-bodied Argentine Chardonnay offering remarkable value and quality for this price point. Aromas of butterscotch and toasty oak with fleshy ripe pear and peach notes. Match this with roasted chicken.

Chardonnay food pairings: Asian dishes, crab cakes, pan-fried cod, toasted ravioli in Alfredo sauce, chicken cordon bleu.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

From Uco Valley in Mendoza, Argentina, this aromatic Chard offers light tropical guava, passionfruit and butterscotch aromas. Tropical ripe pineapple, guava, lemon, buttery caramel and coconut dance on the palate. There's good acidity and a lingering lemon/coconut finish. Serve with roast chicken or grilled scallops.

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A full-bodied Argentine Chardonnay crafted with a gentle use of oak. Rich and creamy with an abundance of tropical fruit, lemon, warm baking spices, toffee and toast. A lovely lingering vanilla toast finish. Perfect for pork chops with applesauce.

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Beautiful, bright, brilliant and approachable. This medium plus bodied beauty is ready for enjoying. Toasted almond, vanilla bean, freshly sliced green apple. Paired well with sea food chowder. Medium acidity, medium fruit. Persistence of green apple. Tasted 2015 vintage in October 2017. 89 points. Good value.
This Argentina Chardonnay comes from the winery's Gran Reserva line of wines. Great balance and luscious butterscotched apple and a hint of toast on the 2015. Finca Las Palmas from Trapiches won a Gold Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards. Pair with crab cakes. - Community Wine Reviews
