Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

An exceptional Gewürztraminer from Canada's famous Okanagan Valley. The 2015 vintage is declared at 14% ABV. Full bodied, integrated alcohol, big fruit and great acidity. This wine has come together nicely, tight and scrumptious. Green melon, lychee fruit, spice with a long finish. Wonderful pairing with traditional shrimp pad Thai, Thai chicken stir fry with basil, or Asian fusion dishes. Great price and exceptional value. Easily drinkable on it's own likewise. Tasted 2015 vintage in May 2017. 91 points. @BespokeTastings

The View Winery boasts spectacular views of Kelowna and Okanagan Lake. Sandy loam soils combined with long hot summer days and cool evening breezes from the lake are perfect conditions for The View’s signature fresh, fruity, aromatic wines. Originally built by Great Granddad Ward in 1922, the building in which we craft and cellar our wines was once the original Ward’s Apple Packinghouse and is the last from its era in the Okanagan. For five generations our family has supported a commitment to tradition, authenticity and excellence. Our alluring wines point to the future and celebrate the past.

Offers subtle floral aromas with fresh layers of tropical fruit. It has a pleasing spiciness and a crisp acidity which is balanced by round flavours of lychee, pineapple and melon.
