Dark roast coffee, espresso but not sweet. This full-bodied, delicious red wine is made from South Africa's signature (and quite distinctive) Pinotage grape, a cross between Cinsault and Pinot Noir. This wine is dry, but it finishes with delicious flavours of dark chocolate. Pair it with grilled meats, especially chary pork chops.

Pinotage food pairings: grilled meats, smoked pork.

Reviews and Ratings

Gwen Barton rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

No doubt this is a South African pinotage! Aroma and flavours of coffee, mocha and spice abound. Some black fruit and dark chocolate noticeable on the big chewy finish. Tried this with smoky BBQ ribs and the pairing was excellent!
