Stewed raspberries and candied strawberries on the nose with a big hit of sweet spice and lavender. I love all things Zinfandel and this is an incredible depiction of what this grape varietal is capable of. More please!

Is there a better place for Zin than Lodi? I don't think so. Overripe nose with a touch of spice. Medium weight (on the heavy Zin scale) with a perfect replay of the nose occurring.

A full body Zin with lots of black, cooked, stewed fruit - you get the picture. Full body with lots of juicy fruit on the palate. Low tannins with a bit higher acidity. A great bbq wine next time you throw some ribs on the grill. Tasted November 19, 2017.

Dark ruby in colour with aromas of cooked blackberry, blueberries, plum and raspberry. It is full bodied with the fruit flavours in the aromas following through on the palate for a big bold treat. It has a medium fruity finish. This will go great at your next BBQ. Tasted on November 19, 2017.

A California Lodi Zinfandel (93%) with a dash of Syrah (7%) blended in. Aged for 12 months in oak, 25% of it new.

On the nose elements of red cherry, raspberry, blueberry, hint of fruit chutney, tree bark and a note of dried herbs and minerals. On the palate - dark cherry, red fruit, stewed berries, cassis, light graphite and cocoa. Medium plus acidity, Full bodied and with powerful finish. Tannins also follow suit and are polished finely. Cooked fruit notes persist with some sweet vanilla and cocoa spices.
Rich and round. Will pair with a turkey holiday meal and cranberry sauce. 89 Points

Ripe, ripe and ripe berry fruit! Nice floral and vanilla notes as well - if you can get through the jammy berry notes. A pleasant medium to light-bodied Zinfandel with moderate acidity, low tannins, clean concentration ripe berry flavours and a smooth finish. Enjoy with BBQ beef souvlaki skewers. Medium to dark ruby red. The dark fruit is overpowered by a green bell pepper almost skunky aroma. Intense fruit taste, but not jammy, with lots of soy/umamy flavours and a long finish. This wine would benefit from longer ageing and long decanting. Preferably enjoyed with hearty foods like a pizza, beef stir fry, or stew. Score 87.

The Federalist (2014) is a red wine blend of 93% Zinfandel and 7% Syrah. The wine spent 12 months in 25% new oak barrels. The label features the First President of the United States and General of The Continental Army and is also known as the Father of the United States. In short, a legend.
