Earthy and mature with leather and cigar box. A fantastic price for such an evolved wine. Smooth and full-bodied. Almost makes me want to read a long novel, but I think I’d rather have another glass and then a nap.

Gabriel Israel rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Outstanding for the price! Another seller from the 2006 classic vintage. On the nose, sweet cigar box and leather. On the palate, full body, round with dark sweet fruits flavors. Decant for an hour and enjoy with any food - from pasta to sushi - it just works!
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Blue and blackberries moving to briars such as black raspberry, cedar and sandalwood, meshed with great acid and firmer tannins. Really needs time to open up. Toast and chestnuts develop on the finish. I'm 89 on this wine. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Brad rated this wine as 83/100 with the following review:

a light red wine, light spice on the nose, notes of mint with earthy tones, a little thin with light body, not bad value, would appeal to those looking for a lighter Italian wine
