Rich and full-bodied with an incredible price point. Layers of fleshy dark fruit cry out coffee grounds cry out for a meaty dish companion. Finishes with blackberry and black plum notes. Terrific!  Hidden among the rich black fruit flavour in this powerful wine are fleeting notes of violets to create an intriguing bouquet. Perfect for barbecues and back decks.

Malbec food pairings: gourmet hamburgers, sausages, barbecue-grilled meat-lovers’ pizza, lamb cutlets.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This wine has a deep, beautiful ruby with hints of purple. There is a spiciness to the oak on the aroma, and a deep, slightly overripe dark fruit with some spicy pepper. The tannins are more mellow than expected which makes this wine more easy drinking, and also a great match for grilled meats or grilled portobello mushrooms. Very tasty!
The "Cruz del Sur" constellation of stars can only be seen while in the Southern Hemisphere. The Malbec grapes for this robust Argentina red wine undergo a long maceration and then mature for 8 months in oak barrels. - Community Wine Reviews
