Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas of sweet candied pineapple, ripe stone fruit, orange marmalade and a touch of saline. The residual sugar is nicely balanced by fresh and tart acidity. There are juicy stone fruit flavours, as well as sweet pineapple and lemon. Lovely sweet Riesling!

Tasted November 2017
This Riesling Spätlese Mosel Prädikatswein Studert-Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr (2016) from Germany is fragrant with ripe peach, orange and white flower blossoms. This is a complex Riesling with layers of ripe stonefruit, lemon-lime zest, florals and a minerality only a wine from the Mosel can give (in a good way). Pair this wine with Schnitz und Knepp (Ham with Dried Apples and Dumplings. - Community Wine Reviews
