Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A Russian Valley River Sparkling Wine made from two of the grape varieties authorized in Champagne making, Chardonnay (68%) and Pinot Noir (32%). The nose offers characteristics associated with both grape varieties. Baked apple notes with red field strawberry, orange marmalade, dried apricot, almond biscotti, honey, and subtle hints of banana cream pie, spearmint with a mineral undertone.

Medium to full bodied on the palate with fresh, balanced acidity, and a rich, opulent, and creamy mouthfeel. The palate follows the nose with notes of baked apple, lemon, red berry notes and a slightly sharp nutty finish that lingers. Overall, very tasty and a great bang for your buck.

Pair with lobster, king crab legs, pasta alfredo, or with creamy cheeses such as Brie and Camembert.

Tasted May 2022.
