Juicy and full-bodied with boisterous aromas and flavours of big blackberry fruit. Generously layered with a full-bodied weight. Some smoke and vanillin on the finish from the oak aging. Decant for 1-2 hours. Terrific with a juicy pepper steak.

Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot food pairings: chicken cacciatore, beef, cheese, pork tenderloin, tandoori flavored dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The 2009 Stella Bella Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot, of 73/27% proportions aged in French Oak for 24 months, has intense aromas of blackberry, black cherry, vanilla, creamy oak and coconut. It is a medium bodied; extra-dry, fruity wine; balanced with good acidity, refined tannins and a long and smooth finish. This is a sipping wine despite being food friendly; drink now – 2020++. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 91 pts – recommended for its quality. Tasted at Australia Today 2014 Trade show http://grapeselections.com/australian-wine/ in Feb/14.

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I loved this Cabernet Merlot blend. Rich luscious fruits, like blackberry from the Cabernet and nice plums from the Merlot. Balanced with a nice acidity and tannins, finished by very pleasant oak. This wine will pair well with grilled foods.
