Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A great choice for festive gatherings, works well with appetizers or as a safe option to expand your wine - food pairing experience. A classic expression of Gruner, Austria's signature varietal. Amazing acidity, fruit and structure. Well balanced, dry, oily, mouthwatering, green pear, roasted yellow beet, with a hint of flinty minerality. Easy to enjoy with or without food. Pairs well with sushi, lightly seasoned Vietnamese noodle dishes, umami veggie burgers. Rated 90/100 tasted Dec 2016. Great value.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Notes of wild white rose petals, honeysuckle and peach on the nose. Bright acidity, medium body and lovely floral-peach finish. Tasted November 27, 2016.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas of white flower, tart apricot, lime, pepper, and apple. The pepper really shows through in the taste, as well as the apple. Another great wine for lighter roast chicken with herbs.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A Gruner Veltliner...pretty floral aromas, citrus and peach in the glass with lots of grapefruit, candied sour apples and poached peaches on the palate.
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Notes of paper white flowers, white pepper, peaches, cooked apples and candied fruit. Light mouthfeel that gives a repeat of the stone fruit and pepper. Pleasant watery acidity which will pair wonderfully with roasted chicken. Score 89. (Reviewed Nov. 27, 2016.)
Terry Jeans - Certified S rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Nice floral notes, white peach, green apple, with high acidity and clean finish. Very food friendly and easy to drink.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Refreshing white grapefruit and lime on nose and palate. Medium-bodied, dry and ideal for pairing with a seafood stew with coriander.
Tasted Nov. 2016
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A hint of white pepper along with grapefruit on the nose, light-bodied, with an almost creamy mouthfeel, bright acidity, lemony, nutty with a fleeting herbal note. Try it with light calamari salad.
